Great for the price
Others have mentioned the noise. If you crank the flywheel tight against your rear bicycle tire and use a high gear, you do get some noise. Just turn the radio or TV up a little. Comes with an extra axle or spindle which I didn't need. No assembly required. Works great with my 30 year old road bike. Just put a scrap piece of 2 x 6 under the front tire to keep it level. Only issue I have had is the flywheel backs off my rear tire a bit after peddling for a while. The big screw is a little too greased up maybe. Beats the heck out of the exercycle I used to have. I was looking for something inexpensive so I could exercise in the winter. This is heavy duty and fits the bill.

More than I expected.
The Bell trainer was ready to go right out of the box. The only glitch was the photo /directions were unclear as to the purpose of the rod w/springs included with the stand. Eventually I figured it out but it did have me puzzled for a while. Set up was easy and the fact that I also had purchased the Balckburn track stabilizer with 3 different heights for the front wheel made the entire package complete. Other reviews have noted the loud noise while riding. I also found this to be true, but because I'm using a mountain bike with extremly knobby tires, I expected the noise. I believe with smooth street tires the noise would be greatly reduced. The trainer seems to be well built and durable, surprising for it's low cost, and because I'm an amatuer rider, it really fits the bill.

Love it!!
Bought this to train for a triathalon...love it! It's not too noisy, I can ride and watch tv:)!! Shopped around before purchasing and this was definately the best price. Would reccommend this to a friend.

Wish I'd bought this years ago!
Great product, I wish I'd bought one years ago. Simple, sturdy, easy to use, and an awesome value. Its small enough to use anywhere & flat works as intended.

good basic trainer.....a bit loud.
Unless you have a lot of cash to burn or are some amazing cyclist, this is a good first trainer. A bit loud but we just turn up the tv or ipod.

Editorial Review :
The CycleOps Riser Block's unique three level design, let's you pick a height for your front tire that will make your trainer riding time more comfortable and productive. You'll train harder and longer, because you'll be riding a more natural position.
Customer Review :
Works well, even for hard, standing intervals
The block was a little lighter than I had expected, but works fine. It holds the front wheel securely. It is also large enough that it is stable, even when I'm doing hard, standing intervals.

A well needed accessory
This is a very much needed piece to complete the training setup. It keeps the bike level and stabilizes the front wheel. I feel this should almost be included with the purchase of the trainer.

CycleOps Training Block
Great product. I little "chunck-ier" than I was imagining, but it works great. Much better than using a phonebook!
Rating :
Not a "Climbing" block
It doesn't matter how high your front wheel is, it will not simulate an actual hill climb because you are not working against gravity. It can only simulate your *position* on the bike when climbing a hill. If you want to simulate the important part of a climb, i.e. having to work harder to gain elevation, crank up the resistance on your trainer.

great block
I was amazed by the size of this block. From the picture I would have though it was about 6 to 8 inches wide. Its not its about 12 inches wide and about 4 inches tall. I know that some people have had a hard time distinguishing which groove they were using to hold the tire steady. This is how I tell the difference between all three. I look at the yellow dot in the center and each groove has a different height from the yellow dot. Its pretty easy to see the difference from one to the other and just remember which one I used before. I am really glad I have this block and would highly recommend it. My front wheel does not move at all even when I stand up to peddle.

Amazingly Quiet!!!
I normally don't write reviews, but after using the CycleOps Fluid2 Trainer for several weeks, I can't believe how much I like it! With the DC Blizzard of 2010 keeping me from training outside, it has been wonderful! I have it in the basement where I can watch my two kids play while I ride. With the trainer angled into the corner (to keep the kids from surprising me from behind), I am able to watch TV without turning up the volume even slightly. I had a wind trainer years ago and I am amazed at how quiet this trainer is! And it has a very realistic road-feel! I would highly recommend this trainer!!

"WITH QUALITY, YOU ONLY PAY ONCE"
Both master distance runners, we are fair weather cyclists. However, the buzz from indoor Cyclefit classes has always interested us in getting a trainer for home use. We kept putting it off because we were not convinced a trainer could replicate the workout we got on our fitness bikes. Two weeks ago, research led me to order the CycleOps Fluid Trainer from another vendor (who threw in a training video). A day later, I had a a close encounter with a crack in the sidewalk during an eight miler. Two days into a RICE regimen to heal a sprained tendon, this arrived and my sweet husband put it together in no time at all. His bike was way too tall for me, so we put my Softride up - perfect - quiet - and my leg loved the therapy.
However, we quickly discovered the front wheel needed support so we rigged up two bricks which was okay for the first ride, but not great, so good old Amazon Prime had the stackable climbing block here only two days later. The real rides Race day DVD training was terrific to get started. Not a mass start rider, it was fun to follow along with the racers and certainly a great workout. The climbing block is essential - it allows out of the seat, big gear hill climbing, and offers a degree of stability at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a high end indoor cycle.
Only one week and four good rides later, I am back running on the roads, withOUT pain, and fired up to continue the "road regimen" of trainer cycling until the warmer temps arrive. Cycle Ops ROCKS!

Quality Trainer
I asked my local TREK dealer about indoor trainers, he had experience with the CycleOps Fluid 2 and suggested it. He did not have any of the TREK version in stock, so we searched ebay and found a great deal on one. Assembly was easy, but you do have to install the enclosed rear axle into your bike (easy) to fit it to the trainer. Not a problem. It is realistic feeling resistance, about the only thing we did was raise the front tire so it didn;t feel like you were riding down hill all the time (since the rear tire is slightly elevated). Very happy with this product, allows use of the bike during winter months and does so with a very real resistance.

Quiet
This product works very well, nice and quiet. A bit tricky understanding how to put together, easy once I figured it out.

Good cycle equipment, Bad assemble instructions
I received the CycleOps and climbing block on schedule. I am a mtn biker, so I changed my knobby wheel with a training wheel and it's sturdy, quiet, no vibration and easy to use. I use the trainer 4 days a week.
However, I gave it a 4 star rating because the assembly instruction was not clear, super confussing. I had to go online at other sites and complete the set up based on other customers whom purchased the same or similar item.
I love it and would definetly recommend this product to friends.

Sunny Pro Indoor Cycling Bike
Customer Review :
Really Nice bike
I absolutely love this bike! It is very sturdy and really quiet. It was so easy to put together that my 3 year old did most of the work and I tightened the bolts. I would really recommend this bike. The box was a little torn upon arrival but I did not find any damage. The seat is really hard. I would recommend a new seat or a gel seat.

Wife is happy, I'm happy
This was a Christmas gift for my wife. Assembly was easy. For the price it is very sturdy and comfortable, and the 40 lb flywheel allows for a great workout. Any complaints are very minor. The tension changes quickly with one turn of the dial and there is some squeaking at high tension that I haven't been able to eliminate. Overall a great value.

Great price, great bike. Don't waste money on a more expensive bike!
I had a more expensive Spinning brand bike in my cart and went to purchase when I saw this other bike suggested by Amazon. I checked it out and, after reading good reviews, decided to save $200 and go with this brand instead. I am VERY impressed. I am a group cycling instructor and have used several types of bikes and this bike is great. You really get more than your money's worth on this piece -- I recommend it to anyone who is looking for one inexpensive piece of home cardio equipment. It definitely feels more expensive. It's sturdy and comparable to the bikes I used in gyms when I teach. The assembly wasn't terribly hard (about an hour) although the directions were slightly confusing. Still, no meltdowns.

Good bike for the money
the main reason I picked this bike was its price and the weight of the flying wheel. Compare to others in the same price range, this one had the heaviest flying wheel. It was very easy to assemble except for the seat. I had to break it apart and put it back together again to loose it up so it could fit in position. Other people has complained about the fit when assembling it (not only the seat but other parts too), I would say this is what you get for a bike in this price range.
The Good: The price of course!, decent finishes, heavy flying wheel, easy to put together.
The Bad: Horrible seat (to assemble and to use), cheap crappy pedals, not much range for seat adjustments.
Not bad for the money. I been using it for about a month. I did enjoy working out next to my window, watching snow accumulating outside.

Rock solid spinner bike, fantastic for the price
I'm amazed at how solid this bike is. Nothing about it feels cheap, other than the price. The 40 lb flywheel is usually only available on the very expensive spinner bikes, and it's so nice to have what feels like a high-end bike at a fraction of the cost. I agree with the others whom had complained about the seat not being comfortable (and I don't know that the ones on the higher-end bikes are), and I replaced it with a nice big comfy seat from Bell for $30. At 5' 10'', the seat height is fine, and I keep it on level 3. My wife, however, being 5' 4'', considers it *almost* too tall on the lowest setting. I'm very glad to have found this deal on Amazon. If it turns out that the bike doesn't last for some reason, or if I turn out to not be using it as much as I hope to, I'm not out of a huge expense. For anyone thinking about getting into spinning, I honestly don't think you can do better than this unless you're looking to really lighten your wallet.

CycleOps Mag Trainer
I bought this and ended up returning it and buying the Fluid 2. The trainer served it's purpose. I bought the product for fitness - not training for anyting in particular. It created all the resistance I needed but I live in an apartment and the Mag trainer was entirely too loud. A workout is just not enjoyable when it sounds like you are in a wind tunnel. Definately glad I returned it and got the Fluid 2... world of difference!

Cycle Ops MAG trainer
I wasn't sure what to expect because I had never ridden a trainer. This is a perfect match for what I was looking for. It is loud but not too loud. It offers variable resistance and can be changed with bike gears. Overall I am happy with it and would purchase it again.

Decent Bike Trainer
I have never owned a bike trainer before, so I don't know how this product compares with other products.
As far as the performance of this product goes, I have only used it twice and it works like a charm! An employee at a cycling shop told me that these bike trainers are louder with mountain bikes than with road bikes. I have been using my trainer with a mountain bike, and I noticed that if the gears are turned down to a lower level, it is not as loud. I have been able to use this item just fine without a block for the front wheel or a mat underneath the trainer.
As far as assembly goes, the directions were a little unclear. However, for the most part, the trainer itself is intuitive to use.
I would recommend this product to a friend or family member.

Excellent basement trainer
I think this product hits the right combination of price and performance. It's not road-like resistance, and it is not quiet. But it is not so loud that the sound gets through a pair of earbuds. And I can add as much or as little resistance as I like. Assembly is a snap, its not terribly heavy, it doesn't shift while in use, and a bigger guy/gal will feel comfortable balancing on it combined with the climbing/leveling block. If you want something quieter, dig $150 deeper, otherwise this should have all you need.

Great product
My husband and I each have a trainer and we think they are great. They do need a bit of tweaking to get them just right and you can't coast but they still make for a great work out. Some mornings are too cold and too dark to ride outside and I find the trainer to be a great safe alternative. This product is our first trainer and I doubt we will be needed another.
